Recycling of Packaging Waste Comprising Aluminium-polyethylene Laminates

The 2021 Fraunhofer study, initiated by the Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative (GLAFRI) and co-funded by the IAI, looks at the benefit of advanced recycling technology for the recovery of aluminium and polymers from sorted aluminium packaging fractions.

This recycling study demonstrates both the technical and economic feasibility of the CreaSolv® process for the separation and recovery of polymers and aluminium from foil laminates in post-consumer non-ferrous metal fractions.
