Alumina Production from Secondary Aluminium Dross report

A report on ‘Alumina Production from Secondary Aluminium Dross‘, presented by Prof. Fengqin Liu and her team from University of Science and Technology Beijing has now been published.

A novel large-scale process for producing alumina from secondary aluminium dross has been successfully developed in China, addressing environmental and health concerns associated with this waste material. Industrial tests conducted in a rotary kiln of a Chinese plant have demonstrated the efficiency of the process, producing over 2000 tons of roasted clinker, which contains approximately 900 tons of alumina. This successful treatment of secondary aluminium dross on a large scale not only proves the feasibility of resource utilisation but also promises significant social and economic benefits.
